Tonia's Poem Cove

A Love of my Own

Hopeless wonder
The wind carries me away
The smell of roses
And sweet decay
A blind mans eyes
Unblinking stare
Under tiny couds of sorrow
Feelings everywhere
From the days first light
Through the moonlit hour
Trouble lurks around
Heat from a dying flower

Sweet Dreams
Love on a summer day
Who could ask for more
Never thrown away
Or pushed through that door
A smile of wonder
Of everlasting delight
Whispers in the darkness
And screams of fright
Nothing sweeter
In any way
Than love
On a summer day

Candlelight
Aromas so sweet
Sickening one might say
Love fading fast
For long ago
Far in the distance
Children are crying
Mothers weep
Their babies are dying
I tell of the world
A place of my own
In the light of the moon
Tears fall
